I love how our Starfish Tunic pops up all over the place.
Now as you all know, an island is not necessarily a tropical island. Have you ever been to "Fire Island" in NY..... a tiny sliver of an island only 31 miles long and in some parts only 520 feet wide. It was devastated by Hurricane Sandy in 2012 and actually split in half, so that 31 miles long is actually 2 islands now.
Well in true "island" fashion the people of Fire Island picked themselves up after Hurricane Sandy, cleaned up and even opened back up for business in the summer following that devastating storm. The lovely little coastal boutique on the island is called "A Summer Place" and they are only open for the summer months each year. For many years now, they order in some of our "island goodies" and we have to ship it to the Ferry dock to get it ferried out to them. This was the window display in "A Summer Place" last 4th July.... featuring our best selling STARFISH TUNIC.
Then the owner of this boutique has twice now found photos of this same tunic in online blogs that I knew nothing about. I thanked her for them and she said "I would recognize that tunic anywhere" ...I guess she has sold a few over the years.
Here we were in "Islands Magazine" story about the Living in the Caribbean : Our Top 10 Best Islands to live on.
And here is the same tunic worn by the owner of Properties in Paradise Real Estate company on the gorgeous island of Anguilla.
This tunic is now retired and made way for the new White with AQUA stars version shown in the photo below. I do still have a few left over in sizes S, M and XL only. Let me know if you would like to snap some up before they are gone forever.
