Stretch cotton: The most flexible option in the range. Stretch cotton tunics move with you and are forgiving across a range of body shapes — ideal for active travel days, shore excursions, and anywhere you need ease of movement. The same stretch cotton runs through our beach dresses and island tops.

Non-stretch cotton: A clean, relaxed drape with a slightly more structured look. Naturally breathable and printed in our signature Caribbean-inspired patterns. Non-stretch cotton is the same fabric used across our cotton sarong collection — lightweight, packable, and effortless in the heat.

Linen: The most breathable fabric in the range. Linen

What we don't use: No polyester, no synthetic blends. Synthetic fabrics trap heat and moisture in humidity — the opposite of what you need in tropical climates. Every West Indies Wear tunic is natural fibre only.

What is the difference between a tunic and a dress?

Our beach tunics sit just above the knee — longer than a standard top but shorter than a midi or maxi dress. This makes them incredibly versatile: wear yours as a standalone tunic dress over swimwear, or pair with our skorts, beach pants, or shorts underneath for more coverage.
